Breastfeeding is a learned art. It also is a physiological, psychological, and social event involving two individuals. Many factors impact the breastfeeding experience. This article outlines proper management, good counseling skills, anticipatory guidance, and ongoing support, which can facilitate positive outcomes in breastfeeding.
